China's Deputy Director of National Defense Science and Technology Bureau Under Investigation

On June 24, according to the website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission, Bian Zhigang, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, is suspected of serious violations of discipline and law. He is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervisory investigation by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission. Bian Zhigang has long worked at the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and was appointed as a member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the administration in February 2024.
