In response to media reports on the "formamide issue in infant diapers," the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the National Health Commission (NHC), and the National Disease Control and Prevention Administration (NCDA) have placed high importance on the matter. A joint investigation team has been established to verify the formamide-related issues in infant diapers, and the case will be handled in accordance with laws and regulations. Relevant updates will be announced in a timely manner.
Multiple diaper brands have responded again to the "formamide" controversy, stating that no formamide has been detected and that they will continue to update testing progress.
The China Technical Association of Paper Industry (CTAPI) noted flaws in testing standards, data disclosure, and causal reasoning regarding the formamide claims.
Brands including Huggies, Babycare, and Bibababy have all issued statements saying their products have not detected formamide in tests.
