10 Years After Brexit: Will the UK Rejoin the EU?
On June 23, 2016, the "Leave" campaign in the United Kingdom won with 51.9% of the vote. A decade later, a think tank survey shows that 57% of British voters believe Brexit was a "mistake." Brexit has damaged the UK's economic growth potential, resulting in a GDP loss of 2% to 8%, and the political landscape has seen six prime ministers come and go. Although the UK might consider a Swiss-style deep integration with the EU, British public opinion may not yet be ready to rejoin the European Union.
