Iranian Delegation Suspends Iran-US Talks in Protest of Trump's Threatening Remarks. According to Xinhua News Agency, the Iranian delegation suspended the Iran-US talks in Switzerland on June 22 local time to protest recent threatening remarks made by US President Donald Trump.

Earlier, Trump had issued tough statements targeting Iran, sparking strong dissatisfaction from the Iranian side. Iran's Foreign Ministry stated that technical negotiations between Iran and the US would continue, but political-level talks have been temporarily suspended.

Analysts suggest that this move marks a renewed tension in Iran-US relations, with a fragile foundation of trust between the two sides. The Prime Minister of Pakistan has departed for Switzerland to mediate the US-Iran negotiations. US Vice President Vance has also arrived in Switzerland, preparing to attend the talks.

Previously, under Pakistan's mediation, the US and Iran signed a memorandum of understanding, agreeing to engage in 60 days of negotiations on issues such as the nuclear problem and passage through the Strait of Hormuz.
