Deputy Director of China's Defense Science Bureau Under Investigation for Discipline Violations

On June 24, according to the website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission, Bian Zhigang, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, is suspected of serious violations of discipline and law. He is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervisory investigation. Bian Zhigang has long worked at the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and was appointed as a member of its Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director in February 2024.
